Everyday life, with a little more possibility
Life is interesting.
Let’s not miss
the nice bits.
Books that keep us up. Places that make us curious. And the occasional attempt to figure out what we are doing with our lives.

What are you in the mood for?
A little perspective.
Life, spirituality, and questions that rarely come with neat answers.

Something to try
Romanticise your everyday life.
Without the candles and clichés. A little silliness, a little theatrics, and things you can actually try.

Something to think about
Amateur seekers welcome.
A book review that became something else. Thoughts on The Power of Now, being present, and getting out of our heads.

The everyday experiment / Free to try
Seven days.
A little less
same old.
You don’t need a new life by Monday. Pick a small experiment, see how it feels, and keep what you like.
Open a day to begin. No shopping list. No perfect streak required.
01 Take the scenic five minutes
Take a short, familiar walk without rushing. Find one detail you usually pass without noticing. What made you stop?
02 Let a book interrupt you
Read a few pages of a book you already own. Save one sentence that makes you think, laugh, or disagree. Why that sentence?
03 Change the soundtrack
Choose a song for an ordinary task. Cooking, tidying, getting ready. Did it change the mood, or just give you an excuse to sing?
04 Follow your curiosity
Write down one question you would like to know the answer to. Spend ten minutes exploring it. There is no exam afterwards.
05 Make room for someone
Give someone you care about a little unhurried attention. Ask a question you actually want to hear the answer to.
06 Take yourself seriously. Then don’t.
Make a tiny thing just for fun: a sketch, four lines of a poem, a ridiculous title for your day. It does not need to be good.
07 Keep the nice bit
Look back. Which moment would you happily repeat? Give that one a place in next week. Leave the rest.
The person behind the unicorn
Hello, I’m Swati.
I like the idea of unicorns and think they are magical, beautiful and fleeting, so I named my blog on them.
The purpose of this blog is to write about the nice things in our lives.
